/Representative Stephen Lynch and Councilor Becky Haugh visited the compressor site Saturday morning, just hours after a leak at the M&R Station was reported. We appreciate their immediate response to this issue and for their continued efforts to speak out against the compressor station.

/On the evening of January 6, Scan Weymouth reported that there was a leak at the Fore River Bridge. It was later determined that there was a leak from a one inch valve at the M&R Station. This was reported around 7:30PM. It took Spectra over 2 hours to respond and turn the valve off, which is simply unacceptable. They stopped the leak around 9:45PM.

/Last month we found out that Spectra and Calpine filed a plan to subdivide their property, without consulting the Town. In response, Mayor Hedlund filed a lawsuit on behalf of the Town. As Mayor Hedlund said, "If natural gas companies cannot comply with simple state zoning laws that apply to every landowner, how can we trust them to comply with the federal laws that only apply to natural gas companies?”
