Rally at the State House

  • Massachusetts State House 24 Beacon Street Boston, MA, 02133 United States (map)

As you may have heard, FERC granted Spectra Energy a Conditional Certificate of Convenience on January 25, 2017 for the Atlantic Bridge project. This means that Spectra can move forward with it's plans to place a 7700 HP compressor in the Fore River Basin.

The Weymouth compressor station is the only Atlantic Bridge project in Massachusetts.

There will be a large rally outside of the statehouse at 10 a.m. on Thursday, with a smaller group heading into the statehouse to deliver the postcards. RSVP for the Facebook event here.

We've been collecting postcard petitions for the past year and we're finally ready to deliver them! We know that many other groups have been collecting petitions of their own and we encourage you to bring them with you.

Our specific goal for the postcard delivery is to get Gov. Baker to urge the Office of Coastal Zone Management to deny its permit for the compressor station, because that is the one permit standing in Spectra's way.

Hope to see you there!
