Communty Meeting on Air Quality Data

  • Fore River Club 16 Nevada Road Quincy, MA, 02169 United States (map)

On Tuesday, May 30, FRRACS will be holding a community meeting to share the results of our recent air quality testing.

To better understand current levels of pollution near the proposed compressor site, FRRACS worked with a local testing laboratory using EPA approved testing methods to gather data in and around the Fore River Basin. We have gathered data on benzene, formaldehyde, and other chemicals in the area.

We will be presenting the results of our data at a community meeting on Tuesday, May 30 at 6:30PM at the Fore River Clubhouse in Quincy (16 Nevada Road). We hope that you will join us. We are going to try to livestream the event, for folks who can't attend in person. More info to come one this. You can RSVP on Facebook here.

Dr. Curt Nordgaard, who has been leading the testing, will be presenting the data. At the meeting, we will explain the testing, how it relates to the station, and what the results mean.

We are inviting local elected officials, as we as officials from MassDEP to join us at this meeting in the hopes that they will have an open and transparent dialogue with the community.

Please spread the word!
