Join us for a special monthly meeting of FRRACS! We are celebrating our 4th anniversary and want you to join! (Please note that this was originally scheduled for Feb. 12 but we postponed due to a snowstorm. We will now be celebrating on Mar. 12)
We’ll gather for food, stories, and updates about the fight ahead. It’s important to celebrate all that we’ve accomplished as a community while preparing for the road ahead.
Date and Time: Tuesday, March 12th at 7pm
Location: Fore River Clubhouse (16 Nevada Rd., Quincy, MA) - wheelchair accessible
When we first gathered as a small group in January 2015, we had no idea what to expect next. We knew we were facing a powerful industry equipped with buckets of money and influential lobbyists, but we also knew that we had to fight. We have learned a lot over the past four years and have grown in many ways. We've learned that this fight goes beyond Weymouth. It goes beyond Quincy, Braintree, and Hingham. We are part of a bigger, global movement to defeat the fossil fuel industry. And although we've had some setbacks recently, it's important to remember just how far we have come. Enbridge (Spectra at the time) thought that their compressor station would be up and running in November 2017. Not only did we crush that dream, but we've also delayed plans for their second, larger project: Access Northeast. We will keep fighting until both the compressor station and Access Northeast are permanently off the table.

If you can't make it this month, you can join us the second Tuesday of every month. If the date changes, we will post an update.
