The Risks and Climate Implications of Data Centers

We invite you to join us for a special community meeting on May 12 on the topic of data centers. Noah Berman, Senior Policy Advocate at the Acadia Center, will join us via Zoom to give a brief presentation on the risks and climate implications of data centers. Following his presentation, there will be a short Q&A. W

Note: If you are joining via Zoom, we will try to start the meeting  as close to 7 PM as possible.

Noah Berman currently works at Acadia Center, a clean energy and climate advocacy and research non-profit, where he is Senior Policy Advocate and Utility Innovation Program Manager. Noah is responsible for regional strategy regarding modernizing utility regulation frameworks, controlling utility bill affordability, and aligning energy systems planning and investments with climate, clean energy, and equity goals. Prior to joining Acadia Center, Noah was Policy Advisor to Commissioner Michael T Carrigan, one of five public utility commissioners at the Illinois Commerce Commission. At the Commission, Noah worked on over a dozen rate cases as well as several major dockets of first impression implementing the Climate and Equitable Jobs Acts, Illinois’ blockbuster climate bill. Noah received his Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Chicago and his B.A. summa cum laude from Middlebury College. Noah also has several professional acting credits, including 4 Off-Broadway plays and 5 audiobooks.
