Twitter debate pushes back against fracked gas

Twitter users who oppose fracked-gas infrastructure, including the compressor station, made their arguments heard in a heated twitter exchange with former lieutenant governor, Tim Murray.

Thank you Robert, Andrea, Nathan, and all who got involved in this little kerfuffle. More gas=more pipelines=more compressors=40 more years of dangerous fracked gas usage.

To former Lt. Gov. Murray: News flash--we do not have "decades" to transition from fossil fuels to renewables if we want to have a livable planet. Period. There is no room for discussion on this. Gas is not a bridge fuel. We cannot add another fossil fuel to replace a fossil fuel (coal). We can only add renewables to decarbonize the electric sector. Period.
