Folks from FRRACS attended a two-day hearing at MassDEP this week for our appeal of the Ch. 91 Waterways License. Two of our members, Frank Singleton and Rebecca Haugh, were on the appeal as witnesses. It was a draining two days but incredible to see our amazing lawyer(s) the Haydens and associate Ethan fighting on behalf of the Fore River community. We want to thank our attorneys for all the work that they have put into this appeal, as well as the City of Quincy and members of the community for making it financially possible to retain legal representation. We’d also like to thank John and Jerry for trekking in to Boston early in the morning to hold “No Compressor” signs while they passed out flyers to people walking through Downtown Crossing.
We should have an update about the outcome of the hearing in the next few months. Our next big appeal will be in May for the air quality permit. Stay tuned for more info.
