FRRACS visits DEP after Commissioner Suuberg's disappointing decision

In May, a judge ruled on our appeal of Enbridge’s Ch. 91 Waterways License, and said that it should be sent back to the DEP for review. In July, Adjudicator Jane Rothchild of the DEP remanded the Ch. 91 Waterways permit back to the DEP for further review. Then, just last week, DEP Commissioner Martin Suuberg released his non-decision on the Ch. 91 Waterways remand recommendation of Adjudicator Jane Rothchild.

In every other decision made by Rothchild in every single appeal that FRRACS has filed before the Office of Appeals and Dispute Resolution (OADR) at the DEP, Suuberg has rubber stamped her decision within days. Her decision this time was the very first time that she agreed with us in our appeal, and he took over 45 days to, basically, circumvent Rothchild's recommendations.

So, we decided to visit Commissioner Suuberg in Boston at the DEP offices. The Commissioner wouldn’t speak to us, but a stand-in did... You can view the interview here.
